Matsunoya - Sake Glass (L)

Large thick- walled drinking glass, made in Japan.

When you order sake at an old town in Japan, this glass may be filled to the brim.
It is made in an old-style approach in Fukushima.
Two artisans work closely together to create these glasses.
They have to be in tune with one another for this delicate process,
one pours meltin glass into a mold and the other forms a shape with another mold.
